Patricia Marie Andersen Honored for Excellence in Funeral Services
Patricia M. Andersen was honored by the National Cremation Society with an award for Outstanding Business Etiquette
CLEARWATER, FL, May 11, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patricia Marie Andersen, retired Funeral Director for the National Cremation Society & Funeral Home, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in funeral services.
Throughout her 17 years with the National Cremation Society & Funeral Home, Ms. Andersen strove to be a comfort to the grieving, providing sensitive funeral services and offering consolation through counseling. She made it a point to forge emotional contacts with all the families with whom she worked, always respectful of what they were going through and cognizant that different religions and cultures vary in the ways in which they mourn the dead or celebrate a life.
Ms. Andersen became a licensed funeral director in 1986 after earning an associate degree in funeral direction in 1982 from St. Petersburg College. Now retired, she is affiliated with Greenpeace and focuses her energies on community involvement. She volunteers regularly to recopy texts for the visually impaired, and accompanies local seniors to doctors' appointments. She is also involved with animal welfare groups, and would like to assist abused women in the future. Recently, she was inducted as a VIP member into Cambridge Who's Who.
